Buddy DesktopMic PTT is based on our popular Buddy DesktopMic. However this microphone has hardware and firmware changes to work with Motorola MIP 5000 system. The red button in the base has been modified to act as a Push-Talk-Button, which means that when this button is pressed an HID message is sent to WIndows application that the button has been pressed. When the button is released another message is sent to the Windows application via the HID subsystem that the button has been released. The hardware changes include a bright red light, on the right side of the push button, that is on when the PTT push button is down.

Please note PTT button does not mute or unmute the microphone. It simply sends a message to inform the application that this button is pressed or released.
