Hi,

You can use click, double click and hold on the same button. This events are exclusive.

Press for example is also triggered at the begining of the previous mentioned events. So you would not usualy use press and click events on the same button.
Press and release are intended for example for push to talk functionality. But in that case that button has to be dedicated for that.

The "need work!" on joystick action means that the help is not yet complete.
Topic "Programming stylus 7g" a message from dlneub

I just purchased a Buddy Stylus 7G to use with Dragon Medical 10.1. It appears that even with the available MyBuddyMic program there aren't more than four programmable actions (two for each part of the upper toggle switch). So if I use the lower toggle switch for turning the mic on and off and want to use the "next field" and "previous field" actions there is only one other double click on the lower switch that can be used. For example I programmed that switch to go to "command mode". I would like to have a button action to return to "normal mode". It appears that the "press" event is not operational. Joystick action says "needs work". When can I expect to get more functionality from a $300 mic? It is somewhat misleadingly advertised as to what it can do. Thanks for you help.
There is something wrong with your report. You say you purchased the product about a year ago, however, hardware version 7.80 was introduced in late September 2010.
I have looked into the problem that you are experiencing but failed to see the missing Push-To-Talk profile. Can you please tell me the ProductID and Hardware Version of your StylusMic? This will help me narrow the cause of problem. ProductID begins with 0x71##. Latest hardware ID is 7.80 and ProductID is0x7107.

Your Buddy StylusMic 7G might be the very first we released once we switched to 7G model. We had a few small problems with oldest version that are not easily fixed without updating hardware. We have made numerous enhancements to the hardware since our first release of Buddy StylusMic 7G. Most notable is inclusion of embedded FilteredAudio technology that can combat even noisiest of the work environments. Recognition accuracy is affected by low to moderate noises such as an air conditioner fan turning on/off and not to mention sounds from a noisy vacuum cleaner. FilteredAudio can work in just about any such environments.

Topic "correct mac download?" a message from bstuffl

I had been using the Buddy stylist 7G microphone successfully for the last week with MacSpeech Dictate on my MacBook Pro. However, after trying to reprogram the microphone using the downloadablel my buddy mic software, the microphone is now unusable. I originally tried to reprogram it off of a PC since that was only version available to me at the time. Immediately after that, the Mac version became available, and even trying to use that to reprogram the microphone has not changed its response, which now plays my speech back at twice the speed, at low volume with a very tinny or static-like quality. I assume this is why MacSpeech Dictate cannot recognize speech now. I have tried returning to the default factory settings, but that does not change its response. I am able to use a different desktop microphone with MacSpeech Dictate through the same USB port with no problem.

Any suggestions on how to get the microphone back to its original voice quality? Thanks

Brian
