Buddy ArrayMics are a series of USB array microphones ideal for all manner of speech-related applications such as dictation and voice over IP, and are especially designed to work with the ground-breaking array technology in Windows Vista.This means that any version of Windows Vista includes support for Beam forming, Noise Reduction, AGC (Automatic Gain Control), and Acoustic Echo Cancellation.

Buddy ArrayMic 2m contains two elements in a compact plastic housing that fits unobtrusively into any office or home environment. An attached plastic clip makes it easy to mount the microphone on a laptop, tablet PC or some other suitable edge on a desktop. The clip is detachable allowing the user to mount the microphone on a desktop monitor using double-sided tape or velcro.

All Buddy ArrayMics have a top-mounted, single-touch mute button and built-in indicator lights to show the power on and mute status. They also have a convenient audio output jack to which the user can attach headphones, speakers, or other audio-rendering devices.

Software

All Buddy ArrayMics are fully plug-and-play compliant with Windows Vista and require no additional software to operate. Firmware inside the device is user upgradeable. Any firrmware upgrade will be downloadable free of charge from our website to the registered owners of Buddy ArrayMics.

Buttons and Lights

The unit contains a highly visible, green LED to indicate its operational status. A simple, top-mounted button allows the user to mute the microphone. A second, amber LED flashes while the microphone is muted.

Compatibility

Buddy array microphones are designed especially for Windows Vista. While they function as conventional microphones on older systems, they function as array microphones only on Windows Vista.

USB Interface

Its USB interface is 2.0 compliant with 12 mega bit transfer rate, and it can be used in any USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 slot in your PC or Macintosh computers. The USB chip used in the circuit is designed and manufactured in Germany by a major multimedia company.
