Dragon says that the sound level is too low?

When I am trying to use the Mic with Dragon it is saying that the sound level is too low.

I have tried on windows 7, Vista, and XP. Dragon is seeing the MIC, and I am holding the button so I have the red light on the MIC. If I look in the recording devices are of my computer it will show some movement but it is sporatic. I have it set to 100%. I am wondering if I need a different driver or? Currently I am running

Driver Provider: Microsoft

Driver Date: 7/13/2009

Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385

The firmware on the MIC is 1.1.503

I also have two of these MIC's and they both seem to be having the issue. Serial Numbers  xxxxxxxxxx   and    yyyyyyyyy

Thanks Ryan

I have 2 units too. I have exactly same problem. Dragon says volume is too low. Interestingly it lists two audio devices- one of which is my sound card in laptop. When I selected that it passed the audio test! When I selected Buddy 7G, dargon said low volume.

An issue with Windows 7/Windows Vista and Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 has just been reported. Although the device is properly recognized by Windows as well as DNS, audio setup wizard cannot hear the microphone input properly. We are working on this problem. It will probably take a few days to find a proper solution.

This problem appears to be unique to DNS running on Windows Vista or Windows 7. We did not see a problem with DNS running on Windows XP or Microsoft Speech running on either XP, Vista or Windows 7.

I am checking to see if any new info on this.

Fix for this will be available in next update on March 05, 2010.  This will require updates to both MyBuddyMic and latest firmware.

How do I get the update? I have been trying to click on check for updates at the top of the MyBuddyMic software? Has this been released?

Thanks Ryan

Hi,

If you do not see updates via the MyBuddyMic software, then you can go to http://www.InSyncSpeech.com/MyBuddyMic.aspx page and get the latest status information there.  Once the update is posted you can either download it or go through update link in MyBuddyMic software running on your computer.

But the bad news is that update had to be delayed.  All changes we wanted to make have been completed and work.  But while testing, we discovered some really nasty side effects that are totally unrelated to the microphone working with Windows 7.  These side effects are the way serial numbers are handled in Windows 7 and the new "Devices and Printers" Start menu addon.

My apologies for the delay (which is really day to day right now).  But I really can't post the update unless my tests show no wrong.
