I would like to set the mic so it does not start off muted. I do not want to have to hold a button to have it in a listening mode. 

 I do not plan on using mute for anything when I am using the mic. I use this with Dragon and do not want to leave Dragon in the listening mode. I am hoping that I can configure the mic to start off unmuted,  and be able to set a hot hey  to use Dragons push to talk, or to turn Dragon on/ off. I was able to set the key to turn Dragon on/off but was not able to set up push to talk. The key is to be able to set it up so I do not have to press a key when I want the mic to be unmuted.

This was brought up by another client yesterday.  What I plan is one of the following (maybe all if I am energetic), 1) add a procedure to Quick Start Guide control the mic differently such as "Mute Toggle". 2) Provide multiple profiles with different functionality. One will be for Push-To-Talk functionality, while other will be Mute-Toggle.

 That would be great if the push to talk could be an option. The key for me is to not have the mic muted, and to have it always listening. 

The 7G design is extremely flexible.  Each and every part of this new series is configurable.  You can use MyBuddyMic software right now to configure these settings and change the default profile or add new profiles.

There are a significant number of options for each part (object) of the microphone right now.  However, we will add more as time goes by and we get more feedback from users.

The support software MyBuddyMic is also in its infancy.  There will be more useful features as time goes on.  Again user feedback is very important to us.

2 new profiles have been added Push-To-talk and Mute-Toggle.  Mute-Toggle will be the default in all new microphones.  In old microphones you can update the software MyBuddyMic to download either profile to the microphone.

This update will be available on March 5, 2010.
