InSync Speech Technologies was founded in 1985. Since March 1998 we have exclusively focused on speech recognition technologies, hence we changed our company name from InSync Software, Inc to InSync Speech Technologies, Inc. Since that time it has not only become our main source or income but also our passion. We sell some third party products that outperform in their category, we also do research and development in hardware and software to improve user experience in this area.
We design and manufacture "High Performance" microphones that are especially designed for speech recognition. Most of our microphones are unique and designed by input from actual users. In 2006, Motorola USA, selected our Buddy DesktopMic (Push-To-Talk version) as an OEM microphone for their police and emergency dispatch system.
We develop software to extend speech recognition the capabilities of software provided by major players including Nuance, Microsoft.
We have written several books including a 768 page book, Dragon NaturallySpeaking Complete which received top reviews in the industry.
In 2001, Parmod Gandhi, its founder and President, was awarded an honorary position of Adjunct System Scientist at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA.
